The International Journal of Social, Psychological and Educational Studies (IJSPES) follows a rigorous and transparent peer-review system to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published research. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation procedure.

Review Process Overview

1

Submission

The manuscript and supporting information are submitted to the journal.

2

Editorial Screening

Scope, originality, formatting and ethical compliance are evaluated.

3

External Review

At least two independent specialists conduct double-blind evaluation.

4

Editorial Decision

Reports are assessed and the appropriate editorial decision is issued.

Initial Editorial Screening

01

Preliminary Editorial Assessment

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the editorial office and the Editor-in-Chief. At this stage, the manuscript is assessed for:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope and aims
  • Originality and academic contribution
  • Compliance with submission and formatting guidelines
  • Adherence to ethical standards of scholarly publishing

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic requirements may be returned to the authors before the peer-review stage.

Plagiarism Screening

Originality and Similarity Assessment

All submitted manuscripts are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin and Антиплагиат (Antiplagiat).

Manuscripts with significant similarity or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision according to the journal’s publication ethics policy.

Double-Blind Peer Review

02

Reviewer Independence

After passing the initial screening, the manuscript is sent for double-blind peer review. In this process:

  • The identities of authors are not disclosed to reviewers
  • The identities of reviewers are not disclosed to authors
  • Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts
03

Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers assess each manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Methodological rigor and research design
  • Clarity and organization of the manuscript
  • Relevance and contribution to the field
  • Accuracy of references and data interpretation
04

Editorial Decisions

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial decision may be:

Acceptance
Minor Revision
Major Revision
Rejection

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the editorial board.

Reviewer Suggestions by Authors

05

Requirements for Suggested Reviewers

During the submission process, authors are encouraged to suggest two to three potential reviewers who have relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript.

The editorial board may consider these suggestions; however, the final selection of reviewers remains entirely at the discretion of the editors to ensure impartiality and academic integrity.

  • No conflict of interest with the authors
  • Not affiliated with the same institution as the authors
